Using AI to reason about text

Using AI to reason about text

A lot of the hype about AI is around using Ais to write text - but the results are often underwhelming in practice. A much more immediate use case for many organisations is to use Large Language Models (LLMs) to read and reason about text - and other content.

In this video we will introduce you to three areas where you might want to use AI to read and reason about text:

  • Summarising longer documents – especially at scale. LLMs can quickly and automatically summarise documents – even collections of documents – to help provide better lists and discoverability.
  • Extracting structured information. It is often the case that you need to extract specific information from unstructured text, such as categorising a case or extracting dosage details from thousands of medicine descriptions into a database.
  • Locate relevant information in response to a particular query and then use that information to answer the user’s question. It’s like having a person with perfect recall that can instantly become an expert on anything that is buried away in your documents, emails and call transcripts.
